When you're interacting with Exclamation Labs, there is a good chance that you are unaware of the talent fueling your project. We work with some pretty spectacular people who are truly experts in their field. Take a few minutes to get to know them, personally and professionally, and see why these folks are our “special sauce” in the recipe for success.
This month, meet our amazing intern, Tim Zimmermann.
Tim joined us in October 2019 as our first international intern. Tim lives in Germany, but wanted to complete his college internship in the United States. He hit the ground running to tackle a major project — Salesforce implementation. Tim diligently populated data and worked closely with our key users to better understand company business processes and expectations for the new system. In just a few months, Tim became the project lead, communicating with Salesforce and the rest of our company to guide the project successfully.
Tim just returned to Germany, and we miss his smile and good-natured personality already!
John Jacobs, Director of Sales and Partnerships, had this to say about Tim:
From the start, Tim was a great asset as we worked to design and implement world-class business operations. He spearheaded our database, and CRM implementation projects, helping to roll out an entirely new CRM process within months. I'm going to miss his "go get 'em" and "can do" attitude!
Now for the fun part– get to know Tim!
Since we’re here in the “Lab,” time for an exam! No right or wrong answers, but it is rapid-fire. We'll call this "10 questions in 60 seconds." Tell us the first thing that comes to your mind:
1. What would you name the autobiography of your life?
Rising to New Heights, The Story of a Tall Guy
2. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
To grow money on trees.
3. When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?
There is a lot that you can do or get done in thirty minutes, but I would probably take my dog for a walk or spend some time with my family.
4. If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?
Probably Superman, being invincible and flying sounds pretty awesome to me.
5. What is something you learned in the last week?
People think red wine should be kept and consumed at room temperature. This is actually not the best. Since this idea originated during medieval times, when the room temperatures were lower than they are now, red wine is best when kept and consumed while slightly chilled.
6. What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?
Powder skiing in the Rockies or the Alps.
7. What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
I absolutely hate doing the dishes. I could really live without that.
8. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
I would want to meet Elon Musk. He’s basically the real-life version of Tony Stark. He cares and contributes to modern society on many levels. Additionally, he cares deeply about our planet, which is very important to me.
9. What’s the coolest (or most important) trend you see today?
I’m not sure if it’s really a trend, but staying inside and trying to reduce or even cut off most of your social interaction so that we stay safe. It’s not that cool, but it is important.
10. What would you most like to tell potential eLabs employees or customers?
Exclamation Labs is an awesome place to work. Everybody who works for eLabs genuinely cares about their work. It’s super important to them that the service or product they provide is the best.
Although I have many favorite things about eLabs, the top would be the team I work with, who are so responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable about information security. Second, we are having fun building something that addresses very real, very critical problems in the financial industry!
