GET TO KNOW US! When you’re interacting with Exclamation Labs, there is a good chance that you are unaware of the talent fueling your project. We work with some pretty spectacular people who are truly experts in their field. Take a few minutes to get to know them, personally and professionally, and see why these folks are our “special sauce” in the recipe for success.
Q: Give us a quick overview: Tell us about your role at eLabs. How long have you been here, what roles have you played?
I am a Senior Account Executive at eLabs. I’ve been working here for almost 3 years and work on both sides of our business– Agency Services and FinTech. I wear many hats and juggle lots of projects at once, including marketing efforts for eLabs and Provision IAM, handling project management tasks for Provision installations, and working with the marketing team at Gerber Life Insurance.
Bobbie Cooper, Agency Services Business Leader says she feels lucky to have someone with Sam's creativity and passion on her team.
"Sam is exactly the person you want managing your top accounts. She establishes great rapport with clients and colleagues, to manage projects with maximum effectiveness."
Since we’re here in the “Lab,” time for an exam! No right or wrong answers, but it is rapid-fire. We'll call this "10 questions in 60 seconds." Tell us the first thing that comes to your mind:
1. What would you name the autobiography of your life?
Don’t Wait Til You’re Old: Take That Trip and Change Your Life
2. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
If I could learn to do anything it would be to fly an airplane! This is on my bucket list, but pilot lessons are very expensive.
3. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
Lately when I have 30 minutes of free-time, I’m either playing with my cat, Koda, arranging flowers, or watering all my plants. More often than not, though, I end up in a deep, waste-of-30-minutes scroll on Instagram.
4. If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?
Hmm… maybe Mrs. Maisel from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel? She exudes confidence, breaks social norms of her time, and she’s hilarious– who doesn’t want to be funny?!
5. What is something you learned in the last week?
This week I learned that traditionally when a statue of a horse and a soldier is shown with both the horse’s front feet off the ground, the rider passed away in battle. If the horse has one front foot raised, the rider was wounded in battle, and if all four feet are on the ground, the rider died outside of battle. The real question is– do all artists actually follow this “rule?"
6. What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?
Indoor activity is probably making floral arrangements and outdoors, either sunbathing at the beach or skiing– very much the opposite, I know!
7. What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
I hate mopping. I could vacuum every day but mopping always ends up at the bottom of the list.
8. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
I would like to meet Reese Witherspoon, which probably sounds very girly, but she is a powerhouse female entrepreneur! She does it all– she’s a mom, a wife, a CEO, an actress, an advocate, and definitely one of my role models.
9. What’s the coolest (or most important) trend you see today?
This isn’t a tech trend, but I think the most important trend today is to be kind to one another. Especially during the pandemic, we all need to remember that we don’t know what others are going through, so holding the door for someone, helping someone grab groceries from a shelf they can’t reach, or even just a smile can go a long way.
10. What would you most like to tell potential eLabs employees or customers?
If you work at or with Exclamation Labs, know that you will always have a full team behind you, supporting your every decision!
