When you are interacting with Exclamation Labs, there is a good chance that you are unaware of the talent fueling your project. We work with some pretty spectacular people who are truly experts in their field. Take a few minutes to get to know them, personally and professionally, and see why these folks are the "special sauce" in our recipe for success.
Q: Give us a quick overview: Tell us about your role at eLabs. How long have you been here? What roles have you played? What is your favorite thing about working at eLabs?
I am a Senior Project Manager and PM Team Lead at eLabs, and I’ve been with the company for just over a year. I am pleased to work with a diverse set of clients at eLabs, managing projects from contract signing, through delivery, to operational support. I also act as Scrum Master for the ongoing build-out of our Provision product. One of my favorite things about working at eLabs is the opportunity to contribute in many different areas and collaborate with some truly amazing co-workers.
Bobbie Cooper, Director of IAM, shared her appreciation for having someone with Lynn's PM skills on the eLabs team:
"In the year that she has been here, Lynn has successfully managed every and any type of eLabs assignment, including agency work and identity and access management projects. She is always cool under pressure, a great communicator and an impeccable decision maker."
Since we’re here in the “Lab,” it's time for an exam! No right or wrong answers, but it is rapid-fire. We'll call this "10 questions in 60 seconds." Tell us the first thing that comes to your mind:
1. What would you name the autobiography of your life?
As a long-time Springsteen fan, I would title my autobiography “No retreat, baby, no surrender.”
2. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Glassblowing. I watched the TV competition show, Blown Away, and was surprised at how creative you can be with glass.
3. When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?
Take a walk or grab my sketchbook.
4. If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?
I’ve really enjoyed the book series, The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, by Alexander McCall Smith. I could see myself as the main character’s sidekick, Mma Grace Makutsi.
5. What is something you learned in the last week?
I learned from my daughter’s Behind-the-Wheel instructor that I've been holding the steering wheel wrong. Apparently, it should be with the fingertips at the bottom of the steering wheel and not gripped with the palms like a Nascar driver.
6. What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?
Indoor - painting and drawing. Outdoor - planning and planting gardens
7. What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Cooking. I’m happy cleaning up the kitchen, and everyone is happier when my husband cooks.
8. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
The artist, Frida Kahlo. Her story is really inspiring. There was almost no separation between her life and her art.
9. What’s the coolest (or most important) trend you see today?
I think the trend toward plant-based menus is really taking hold, and it’s becoming more mainstream. I think the food industry will continue to undergo some significant changes that will hopefully benefit the planet and our bodies.
10. What would you most like to tell potential eLabs employees or customers?
Employees at eLabs are passionate about delivering for our customers. I see it play out every day in meetings, development sessions, and our testing efforts. We care about doing our very best.
We recognize the critical impact each employee creates in helping our clients and us achieve success. Check back monthly for more highlights about members of our talented eLabs team!
