Lab Partner: Jack Brimhall

GET TO KNOW US! When you’re interacting with Exclamation Labs, there is a good chance that you are unaware of the talent fueling your project. We work with some pretty spectacular people who are truly experts in their field. Take a few minutes to get to know them, personally.

Q: Give us a quick overview: Tell us about your role at eLabs. How long have you been here, what roles have you played? What is your favorite thing about working at eLabs?

A: I am responsible for the analytics here at eLabs! I’ve been here for about six months, and have already had the opportunity to be a part of some really cool FinTech projects. My favorite part of being here is the variety of work and getting to work with such a diverse set of experts in their fields.

Brad Berline, Provision® Product Manager, recently praised Jack for his critical thinking skills and valuable contributions to the team.

"In a very short period of time, Jack has become an integral member of our team. His ability to identify and report on the key details that matter is a core strength. Jack has a gift for storytelling through data. His skills have allowed us to focus on the opportunities that will have the most impact for Provision® and our clients."

Since we’re here in the “Lab,” time for an exam! No right or wrong answers, but it is rapid fire. We'll call this "10 questions in 60 seconds." Tell us the first thing that comes to your mind:

1. What would you name the autobiography of your life?
Just Keep Asking Questions - There’s A Lot You Don’t Know

2. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Definitely how to play the piano really well. I never learned a musical instrument, and I think knowing how to play one would unlock a really cool lens on the world.

3. When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?
I’m a big reader of non-fiction books, so I try to squeeze that in whenever I can. However, on a nice day, I’ll try to get outside and do something active instead.

4. If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?
As cliche as it is, probably Superman. He’s immortal, can fly around, and has super-enhanced physical abilities. What’s not to like?

5. What is something you learned in the last week?
I’m a little late to this, but I’ve been learning a lot about CRISPR (the gene-editing technology) and the “why” behind the mechanisms that are used. The potential is exciting, incredible, and a bit scary all at the same time.

6. What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?
Anything in the mountains - hiking, fishing, camping.

7. What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Laundry. Although breaking down boxes has recently become a close second.

8. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
Currently, Adam Grant would top my list. All of his work that I’ve consumed has been extremely lucid and shrewd.

9. What’s the coolest (or most important) trend you see today?
People and businesses alike are breaking from simply wanting more information in favor of getting more insights. There is a collective push toward being insights-driven, rather than hungry for more noise. I think it’s cool, because we’re seeing people become more discerning and intentional about what they consume.

10. What would you most like to tell potential eLabs employees or customers?
Everyone here is passionate about solving real problems and creating value. I think that’s reflected in our products and services, because it’s ingrained in our culture.

We recognize the important impact that each employee creates in helping our clients and us to achieve success. Check back regularly more hightlights about members of our talented team!
